Well life is changing and we have begun a new chapter this year. It has been awhile since I have been on this blog, and its still here. WOW. So, I have a facebook account now and I have signed up to write for Associated Content. I hope to earn money and to be published. I have always loved to write, just found so many other distractions in my life. We are settling in here in Oklahoma now. Hopefully soon we will be able to say we are here to stay for awhile.
Not much else to say, just wanted to make a fresh post and update all this stuff.
God Bless You,
Stacey

My Space
Hello all,
I just wanted to let you know that I decided to make myself a "my space" page. I was inspired by a friend and I agree with her that God can use this venue if we want. There are security measures to see my pics and personal info but you can look at my main profile here.
I love this layout because I have this picture on my wall in this room. I love this pic. There is a story in there somewhere waiting to come out. But for now, I am just getting my page up. Let me know what you think and if you have a page, please send me a request to be added to my friends list.
God Bless You all.

Comments on my favorite book
Hello,
I will say it again, in case you have not heard it from me yet. I loved this book. Give it a try and you will not regret it. Don't give up on it, even if it gets strange. It's an awesome work of fiction, full of truth. :)
I thought you might like what I got from the author today.

Posted: 10 Jun 2008 10:49 AM CDTI get about 100 emails a day, plus regular mail, notes, cards etc. I really do try and get to them all, and I am only a couple thousand behind - thank you for your grace and patience. I received the following letter just a day or two ago and thought I would like to share it with you. It is a devotional journal entry dated May 27, 2008, written by Pastor Lawrene Rae. There is a simplicity and yet a depth that I appreciate very much, as well as insight into Papa's heart. This is posted with permission.
Lawrence - to Papa
Lord, The Shack, struck a chord deep within my heart. I heard you speak in such "human" terms I was wildly blessed. I beliece the portrayal of you, although totally inadequate to your Ultimate Being, was a vividlyu clear expression of your merciful interface with us common folk. I loved you deeply, emotionally, radically in this book. Thank You for encouraging Paul to write it.
Papa - to Lawrence
You are right when you speak of the inadequacy of this, or any other book to display 'all' of My person, chracter and glory. I AM and there is noe beside me.
I am not a kind, black woman, a wraith, or an elderly, rather tall and slim white man. But Paul touched My being by faith and what flowed out of his collaboration with his friends is definitely a work of the Spirit. As We watched and heard and saw the oozing out on paper of Our love and joy and laughter; Our power and delight, Our mercy and grace and Our overall creativity, We were delighted with the substance of the text. So narrow a volume - so wide an expanse of thought and devotion.
It won't be liked. It won't be tolerated. It will be loved or despised. As each reader first steps across the threshold of the Shack, they will have an opportunity, granted by Me, to be deeply offended. As their hearts reel at the possiblity of God stepping down as far as a big black hug, they will either be un-stumbled and touch the Son at Calvry, knowing the wounds also engraved in My wrists, or they will sentence themselves to a bounded vertical relationship; a 'thus far and no farther' tension that never squeals with glee as I tickle them unmercifully or never groans deep within as I press my fingers into the open wounds of their own broken souls.
Knowing Me is the goal. Paul knows Me. Better still, I know Paul, and I have trusted him enough to reveal a little of Myself to him. How do you like Me now?

Surely Goodness and Mercy Shall Dwell with Me...
A familiar passage in the Bible can become so lifeless to us at times.
Sometimes we need to revisit it and let the living word sink in to our hearts. Here is my heart's song. Enjoy
Stacey
What do I need If I have You as my Lord?
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
Sometimes we need to revisit it and let the living word sink in to our hearts. Here is my heart's song. Enjoy

Psalm 23
A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. What do I need If I have You as my Lord?
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
Is the grass greener over there? Oh how I long for the quiet places of rest in your presence.
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Create in me a clean heart, OH, God, and renew a right spirit within me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation. I need your joy and unimaginable peace today.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
Through the fire, the rain, the storms, the crying babies, the frayed nerves, and the evil all around, YOU are with me. You set me on the right path and it comforts me when you teach me your ways are not always mine. Light my way, OH Lord.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Grace overflows from you. Apart from you I can never forgive them, I can never love them, I can never face them again. In your presence I find enough for me and them. Praise You, Oh Holy One. Here am I, send me!
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
I am not alone. Praise You that you are like my shadow that is always there, even when I cannot see you. In the light you are revealed to me and I am reminded you are my constant companion. Oh heavenly hosts, can I join you in a song? Thank you Jesus for that nice room you are decorating for me. I long for you my love. Come Lord Jesus, Come.
You are His--believe it!
From my friend Rhonda Kelly, good encouragement:
A right relationship with God begins with settling once and for all the issue that God is your loving Father and you are His accepted, adopted child. Yes, you are a child of God, you are created in His image, you have been declared righteous by Him because you trust that what Christ accomplished in His death and resurrection is applicable to you. As long as you believe that and walk accordingly, your daily experience of practical Christianity will result in growth. But when you forget who you are, and try to produce in your daily experience the acceptance God has already extended to you, you'll struggle. We don't serve God to gain His acceptance; we are accepted so we serve God. We don't follow Him in order to be loved; we are loved so we follow Him.
This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope.
Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassion never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
"The Lord is my portion," says my soul,
"Therefore I hope in Him!"
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
to the soul who seeks Him.
It is good that one should hope and wait quietly.
(Lam 3: 21-26)
The essence of the victorious Christian life is believing what is already true about you. Do you have a choice? Of course! Satan will try to convince you that you are an unworthy, unacceptable, sin-sick person who will never amount to anything in God's eyes. Is that who you are? No, you are not! You are a saint whom God has declared righteous. Believing Satan's lie will lock you into a defeated, fruitless life. But believing God's truth about your identity will set you free. Your perception of your identity makes such a big difference in your success at dealing with the challenges and conflicts of your life. (Know the truth and the truth shall set you free!)

"Where Tragedy Confronts Eternity"
The Shack, By WIlliam P. Young is my new favorite book right now.
There are many that love it and give it high praise like this
"This book has the ptential to do for our generation what John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress did for his. It's that good!" Eugene Peterson
Other people are not so sure about it. There are many that have misunderstood the purpose of this book and decided that it's a dangerous book, especially for young Christians.
Well I don't agree. I feel that this book is worth reading. The caption on the front cover says "Where Tragedy Confronts Eternity". That is a good summation of the story. One important thing in reading this book is that we must remember it is a work of fiction and so the author presents God in an allegorical way. Some people may embrace this and find it very refreshing. I find it easier to let go of the preconceived ways we picture God and look at him from another perspective.
This book should be sold with a box of kleenex because even grown men are in tears as they read the moving account of a man who lost his daughter through a tragedy that brings him under a Great Sadness. This is his journey to healing.
The back cover of the book says this:
Mackenzie Allen Philips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend.
Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever.
In a world where religioun seems to grow increasingly irrelevant The Shack wrestles with the timeless question, "Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?" The answers Mack gets will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. You'll want everyone youknow to read this book!
-----------------------------------------------
And that is true. I want everyone I know to read it and to have a chance to see things differently and maybe even get some answers to their own painful questions for God.
My pastor has reccommended this book from the pulpit and he is a very learned Bible scholar. I know that this book does not go against scripture and it's truly a treasure.
Please consider reading it. Maybe you have heard about it already, maybe not. But either way, at least give it a chance. Don't get stuck in the middle of it when things get crazy. Just read on and see what happens. You never know what God may say to you while reading it.

Finally back
Well if anyone ever reads this, I hope they are glad to see that I am back. I have updated my pic and plan to post more often. I need to get back to my writing again. It is so good for me, but yet its so hard to make time for.
I just got a new Jason Upton CD today. I am so loving it right now. I am just listening and fighting the urge to break down and weep. I have been so dry spiritually lately. Seems so sad that my last post was on the "mountain of God" and now I am back in the valley. Isn't that just like life though?
I want to share what God is doing in my life cause I know HE has good things for me and I just need to draw near to Him and He will draw near to me. He is always with me. I am so thankful for that. If there is one thing I will never forget, its what a pastor told me a long time ago. He could sense I was wandering from God and told me that God is always as near as from your knees to the ground. Get down and pray and He is there. We feel so far away in our busy lives. We get so stressed and feel like life is so hopeless. SOOOO overwhelming at times.... I am sure you have been there. But the answer is so close. All we have to do is pray, seek HIM, worship HIM.
Just an encouraging word to light the way for you today. I will write more later.
God Bless You.
Let me know if there is anything I can pray for you about.

Mountain of God
Today I am so excited to share what God is doing in my life.
I just came back from a trip to the mountains. I have not been away from home, except for a few hospital stays, since before Ivory was born 3 years ago. In fact, the last time I left was for my mother's funeral in 2002. I was very happy to get to go somewhere, needless to say.
God has been speaking so much, I don't know where to begin. I have tried to sort things out in my mind, but this is one of the first times I have had to set down and write about it all.
Our friend that married Arbon and I is starting a church. He has longed for my husband to be a part of his ministry some day. Honestly we have been hesitant because we feel so unprepared for anything like that. Anyways, we have been praying about it to see if this is what God wants us to do. The chance to go and see the area came for us last Sunday.
It was so nice to get away. The beauty of God's creation overwhelms me at times. I feel like the mountains are so much closer to God and heaven than this dry valley we have been in. It was a time of adjustment the first few days. Ivory had a wonderful time playing with their daughter about her age. The last night we stayed there we rented the movie, "One Night With the King." That is an awesome movie, by the way. It is about Esther and it spoke to me as she showed courage in the face of certain death. I listened to some worship music, by Jason Upton, before I went to sleep that night. The next day I knew. I had been going back and forth but that morning I really felt a longing to be there.
Now tha I am home, it is even greater. I have a burden for the lost there and I want to be apart of what God is going to do. I long to have the fellowship and the chance to go into my "promised land". I had been thinking about this before I left. In our Bible study, Beth Moore talks about believing God for your promised land. This study has been so awesome to prepare me for our future. I truly believe its where we are meant to be. THere are many doors the Lord must open but I know HE will do it once we just surrender to Him and allow Him to work it all out.
We would appreciate your prayers in the coming days. Arbon is still not as convinced as I am. He is not sure that God wants to do all this. He is always fearful of disapointment and setting himself up. I am encouraging him to believe and trust.
May we all learn a lesson in this. God wants to give us good things. Let us believe Him and look for our promised land. Don't let Satan scare you away! God is greater than all our fears, and I have many. But I put my trust in my Father and He has never failed me and He never will.
God Bless You all.

Happy Holidays
Praise God, we had a wonderful holiday. We were very blessed and we gave more than we got. I ended up giving away a lot of my crafts I had made. That is ok. God blessed me with a few sales and it was more than I would have had if I had not even made the effort. I love to give anyways. It was nice to be able to give something I had worked on to make really nice.
Ivory got a lot more presents for her birthday than Christmas. I do not think she was bothered though. At the age she is at, she just loved opening the presents. We even let her unwrap ours. We got her 2 more stuffed Backyardigans to add to her collection and a Strawberry Shortcake video. Shs loves the stuffed toys and we have watched the video at least 4 times already. We had a family picture made and I was able to send out some cards for Christmas, although most people did not get them till today. (better late than never....)
I am looking forward to the changes that God has for us this next year. We are still in prayer for where He wants us to go, but we know we will move on at some point. Some people will miss us but I think they will end up forgetting us after awhile cause we seem to be easily in the background. Let's just say that we don't have enough strong bonds here to fullfill our desire to be connected to other Christian families. In the end, this will make it easier to move on to wherever God wants us to be. No matter what though, we are not going anywhere without our Lord's blessings.
I pray that you had a good holiday. I understand missing loved ones at this time, but I can also rejoice in the fact that we shall be together again soon. I know my mom and father in law are in heaven for sure. I have other relatives there also. I look forward to our great reunion some day.
God Bless You all.

Another God Stop
I wanted to record my God Stops here. It seems that my idea for the Bible study is not working out, but that is ok. I am just going to share and enjoy this site anyways.
My really cool story has to do with our car. We have had a lot of things go wrong with it recently. It is an old car and someday we will have to get a new one. Until then, we are praying this one will last us as long as possible. Our church has been very kind to help us. One man, in particular, very kindly fixed our water pump. He did not just do that though. He had the car at his home for 2 days and even cleaned and vacuumed the front of the car. Another man paid for the parts and he did the labor for free. We were very grateful.
A few weeks after the repair we had another water leak. This was really bad. We were able to get it home but that was it. It was not holding water at all. The wonderful man came back to check on what he feared was a faulty water pump. He worked on it here and found a hose that was cracked. He told us that while cleaning the car for us the previous time, he found a hose under the seat. It was the exact hose we needed and it was brand new! We did not know for sure where it came from. It is likely that is was left there by the men that fixed our radiator as a leftover part they bought but didn't need and just left for us "in case we needed it"! Praise God! I mean, God knew we would need that hose some day and He made a way for it to be there for us. It is such a great reminder of how God will meet our needs if we just seek Him and allow Him to work. I mean, even when we don't see, God knows the whole story, from beginning to end.
I pray this story blesses you. God cares for us all!
Amen

God Stops
In our Bible study "Believing God" by Beth Moore she has us do 5 lessons during the week. In our study time at home we have a part at the end called "God Stops". This is where we are to record our encounters with GOD during the day. If there is a time that you see God working in your life in a uniquely supernatural way, you are encouraged to record that encounter. The purpose is obviously to get us to start noticing how God is working in our lives.
I had a great one this week. I would like others to post theirs here if they feel so moved. I want to collect these stories. I think it builds our faith when we see God working in our lives and the lives of others around us.
So, Tuesday I open an email from a friend and I was immediately offended at the comment made by this person. I was not sure if it was a joke or they meant to be rude. I steamed about it for awhile as I read my other emails. I was ready to respond to his email with rudeness. Before I wrote that reply I read my devotional and it was talking about building bridges and not walls. It said that when we are offended we have the chance to retaliate with rudeness and show our indignation and build up walls, OR we can choose to build bridges and in my case just not say anything. I stopped. God totally stopped me from replying to what I perceived as rudeness. He has told me to be a friend to this person even though I have many times where he has hurt me. I forgive him and though I do not hold a grudge I am guarded. I don't want to allow his hurtful words to make bitterness in me.
And so I did day 5 of our study and we are told about being offended with GOD. Now I wondered what that meant. Then I realized. If God does not answer our prayers the way we want we are tempted to be hurt and not want to trust Him in the future. We may even decide NOT to pray for something because we don't want to be disapointed. That is not what God would have us do. He is God and though we don't always understand why he does things the way he does, we trust that He is God and that we are not.
So that is what I have learned this week. It has been profound on me. I could elaborate more but I need to spend some time with my dear hubby and daughter.
Please if you are reading this and want to share, post your comment now. Let us all rejoice with you.
Praise God for revealing His love to us day by day, moment by moment, breath by breath.
Amen

Show me Your Glory
I am so excited about this weeks study.
I have picked out two of my favorite verses in this lesson 1 for week 3.
"Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.
Renew them in our day, in our times make them known."
Habakuk 3:2
"Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the Lord. And find the knowledge of God."
Proverbs 2:2-5
I want to see more miracles and works of God in my life and in the lives of those around me. I have such a small world around me. Sometimes I feel that God is out there working around me but I am in the wrong place or something. I guess I may not have the faith I have needed to see more from God. I have been praying for God to show me. I want to see more yes answers to my prayers. Arbon and I both want to see God do a miracle in our lives. His faith is so small sometimes and he lacks hope because he does not want to be disapointed. I venture further out into my faith and I do believe that God is doing great things in us. I see so much He is doing in me and I rejoice.
I want this blog to be a place to collect stories of miracles, workings of God, and yes even a place to go and pray. So please comment and put your news here, if you want. It will encourage us and we will all grow in our faith. If you have a long story to share, email me and I can post it as a new post. Otherwise you can comment on any of my posts. If you have any trouble please email me.
GOD Bless you all.
